Dr. Eugene Kobla Dordoye is a seasoned Consultant Psychiatrist and Senior Lecturer whose professional journey spans clinical practice, academia, hospital administration, and mental health policy advocacy. His expertise cuts across geriatric, addiction, public health, and general adult psychiatry. Over the years, he has led mental health training programmes, supervised both undergraduate and postgraduate trainees, and played a key role in national mental health reforms, including the decriminalization of suicide and the establishment of Ghana’s Employee Assistance Programme.
Dr. Dordoye is an active researcher and author with numerous peer-reviewed publications, as well as media articles that highlight the intersection between mental health and society. His approach to leadership combines evidence-based practice, equity, and innovation, all aimed at strengthening Ghana’s mental health systems. Having served in various clinical and administrative capacities, he continues to influence policy direction and public health discourse through his contributions to research, training, and advocacy.
