Dr. Felix Awingdaogo is a medical doctor and Physician Specialist with expertise in general internal medicine and cardiology. He serves as a Physician Specialist and Cardiology Fellow at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana.
Dr. Awingdaogo obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and subsequently earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Internal Medicine from the University of Edinburgh. He has also undertaken advanced training in outpatient cardiology and echocardiography, further strengthening his expertise in cardiovascular care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Awingdaogo is actively engaged in cardiovascular health education and public health advocacy. He has contributed to public discussions on hypertension and cardiovascular disease prevention, raising awareness of the importance of early detection and effective management of cardiovascular risk factors.
His research interests include the relationship between psychosocial factors and cardiovascular health, including the effects of stress, anxiety and depression on cardiovascular autonomic function among healthcare professionals. Through his clinical, research and public health activities, he contributes to efforts to improve cardiovascular disease prevention and care.
