Dr. Isaac Newman Arthur is a Medical Director and Clinical Psychologist based in Accra, Ghana. He currently serves as the Medical Director at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), where he provides executive leadership for the Medical Directorate, oversees clinical services, and drives institutional health and wellness policies. His professional background includes over fourteen years of experience in clinical practice, healthcare administration, and academic instruction. He holds an MBChB from the University of Ghana Medical School, an MPhil in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Cape Coast, and is a PhD Candidate in Clinical Health Psychology at the same institution. His qualifications also include a BSc. in Medical Sciences and certificates in Advanced Trauma and Emergency Care and Leadership and Management in Global Health. He is a Licensed Medical Practitioner with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council and a Licensed Clinical Health Psychologist with the Ghana Psychological Council. His work combines general medicine and clinical psychology, with a focus on staff development, crisis intervention, organisational wellbeing, and mental health advocacy. He has delivered training and consultancy for a range of corporate and public sector clients and is actively involved in national mental health policy development and media engagement. He holds board and advisory positions with several academic and non-governmental organisations and has received recognition for his contributions to mental health services in Ghana.
