Dr. Joseph Ato Quansah is a senior specialist radiologist at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana. His professional work focuses on expanding access to interventional radiology in low-resource environments, and he has been instrumental in establishing an interventional radiology unit within his institution. His clinical career spans service in both Ghana and Malawi, where he has contributed to radiology practice and capacity building.

He has held various roles at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, including medical officer and resident in radiology, and has undergone additional clinical training in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. His training covers diverse areas such as uroradiology, interventional and emergency radiology, MRI, chest radiology, and nuclear medicine. He has also contributed to multiple international teaching programs and has been involved in the training of radiographers, sonographers, and radiology registrars.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he serves as an adjunct lecturer at the School of Medical Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He actively participates in international radiology conferences as a speaker and presenter and has co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals. His professional affiliations include membership with the Ghana Medical Association and the Medical and Dental Councils of Ghana and Malawi.
