Course Description
This upcoming virtual CPD training event will delve into how Primary care sits at the heart of managing chronic conditions, yet rapidly evolving clinical guidelines can be difficult to translate into everyday practice. This interactive course bridges that gap by focusing on Cardio-Renal-Metabolic (CRM) health, one of the most pressing challenges in modern medicine.
Through a series of practical, guideline-driven sessions, participants will explore how to recognize and manage conditions at the intersection of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and kidney disease. Topics will include the burden and relevance of CRM in primary care, best practices for tackling type 2 diabetes and diabetic kidney disease, and essential updates on chronic kidney disease with a simplified review of KDIGO guidelines. Special emphasis will be placed on detecting early signs of heart failure and applying recommendations from leading authorities such as the ESC, ACC, and AHA in a way that works in real-world primary care settings..
